Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. Half English and half Spanish her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. His father is an Argentine with Scottish as well as English heritage. Her mother's ancestry is Spanish and English. Taylor-Joy is the youngest of five children. Four of them come from her father's previous marriage. The family resided in Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy aged 6 and later moving to Victoria district of London. Taylor-Joy says the move to London was traumatizing and that she was unable to take the time to learn English so that she could avoid returning to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school following the moved from Northlands. She then went to Queen's Gate School in London and took ballet classes and participated in plays. In her 16th year she left the school to pursue a profession acting full-time. Taylor-Joy has always known she wanted to work as an actor. Her dream was granted a chance by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management, who offered her the opportunity to model.
