Anna Paquin is a Canadian as well as a New Zealand actress. Paquin is a native of New Zealand, born in Wellington but born and raised in Winnipeg made her acting d but on screen in The Piano. At age 11, she became one of the youngest Academy Award winner ever for Best Actress. Anna Paquin spelled out Anna Helene Paquin was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada on the 24th of July, 1982. The Canadian born actress is also a actress from New Zealand. In 1993 she won the Academy Award at age 11 as the curious and talking child of Holly Hunter who played the leading character. After she responded to an audition call, she won the role as Flora McGrath, the daughter of a mute Scottish piano player who moves to New Zealand in mid-19th-century to marry. It was her first role at the age of nine, and she had no previous experience as an actor. When she was a teenager, her family moved from Canada to the United States. Paquin was played as the title child in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre in 1996. She also played an important part on the screen in Fly Away Home, a movie from that same year. Paquin was a part-time actress in the television movie of 1997 version to Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding. She also played the queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (2007). She was a teenager on the screen in Hurlyburly (1998) She's All That (1999) as well as A Walk on the Moon (1999) and portrayed the character of a groupie Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
